DSC02038 (2)

(in)SPIRE: Jacki has had a passion for movement and health from a young age, starting with dance at age 8.  Seeking physical therapy herself for various dance injuries over the years was what originally sparked her interest in pursuing this as a career path.  She loves that physical therapists are able to spend quality time with patients unlike many other healthcare professions, and because of this can attend to the whole person and address the root cause of an issue in a non-invasive way.

(per)SPIRE: Jacki earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance with a minor in Disability Studies from the University of Washington before attending Pacific University for her physical therapy studies, eventually graduating as valedictorian of her class with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy.  Since graduating from physical therapy school, Jacki has additionally earned distinction as a board-certified orthopedic clinical specialist in physical therapy.

Between undergraduate and graduate school, Jacki also became a fully certified STOTT Pilates instructor, training in both mat and all Pilates equipment.  She enjoys the balance of working with people who are not necessarily prompted by injury or illness in addition to her role as a physical therapist.

(a)SPIRE:Being a lifelong learner, Jacki routinely takes continuing education courses above and beyond state licensing requirements, always striving to better serve her clients.  Among other things, Jacki has taken courses in advanced assessment and evaluation, manual therapy, dry needling, orthopedic specialization training, and pelvic health physical therapy.

Emily Wisner

STOTT Pilates Instructor

Emily began practicing Pilates nearly five years ago by accident after taking a mat class that fit her schedule. The introduction was the beginning of a transformative experience. Studying Pilates not only allowed Emily to regain the strength and physique she had before having children, it also re-ignited her passion for mind-body wellness. Emily completed her teacher training through STOTT Pilates, a leading contemporary Pilates program. In addition to Spire, she also teaches at Pilates Durango. Through teaching Pilates, Emily strives to assist others in their journey of self-care and discovery.

In addition to her practice, Emily and her husband own Summit Roots Farm, located just outside of Dolores.  You’ll find her at the Cortez Farmers Market every Saturday throughout the summer and fall.  She also has two young boys who keep her incredibly busy and happy.
